Exterior waterproofing addresses the source directly: excavation, membrane application, and footing drainage designed to keep water away from the wall in the first place.

Four commitments that separate a properly trained exterior waterproofing crew from a generalist showing up with a truck and a hope.
Certification covers grading assessment, drainage board installation, and rubberized membrane application to manufacturer spec.
Local crews understand your region's soil composition and typical frost depth, both of which affect excavation planning.
Pricing accounts for landscaping restoration where excavation disturbs existing beds or hardscape.
Drainage board installed over the membrane channels water down to the footing drain rather than letting hydrostatic pressure build against the wall.
We don't run a one-size-fits-all playbook — every exterior waterproofing job starts from these core service components, adapted to what your property actually needs.
We excavate along the affected wall section down to the footing, clean and prep the existing foundation surface, and apply a rubberized waterproofing membrane rated for permanent below-grade exposure. This is the most thorough exterior fix available and typically carries the longest service life of any waterproofing method.
A footing drain intercepts groundwater at the base of the foundation and carries it away via gravity or a connected sump system before it can build pressure against the wall.
Soil that slopes toward the foundation instead of away from it sends every rainfall straight at your basement wall, regardless of how good the membrane below is.
We install window well drains tied into the footing drain system, plus a clear cover to reduce debris accumulation.
Sealing from the exterior addresses hydrostatic pressure at the point of entry rather than relying solely on an interior injection to manage it after the fact.
Here's what happens between your call and a completed exterior fix.
Describe what you're seeing from outside — pooling water, visible efflorescence on the wall, soil that stays saturated — and dispatch routes a crew equipped for an exterior assessment.
Most Martinsburg, OH exterior assessments are scheduled within a few days given the scope of a proper perimeter evaluation.
Utility locates are scheduled ahead of excavation as standard practice, not an afterthought.
We document the completed system with photos before backfilling, so you have a record of exactly what's below grade.
